- So I've been a cigar guy but aspired to enjoy the briar pipe occasionally. Knowing nothing about this . These helpful men guided me under absolutely no pressure to purchase, thru literally the history of the pipe, explained the choice of the briar root , showed examples of the root whole and cut and then explained in great detail the different tobaccos and how they are cut etc. After the purchase the shop owner conducted a do as i do lesson on packing, smoking , caring for , and cleaning of the pipe. These are GREAT guys and great resources . Don't hesitate to visit them.
