- Really great service and friendly. I am new to pipe tobacco and so I’m not sure on the specifics but I’d like to say they had a great selection of a little of everything! I’m definitely going to bring people here to show them the store! Thanks!
- I come here twice a month to grab a quick cigar and enjoy some banter. Thanks for the perspectives, Lance. Seating is limited, keep that in mind. Less of a lounge, a more intimate vibe. Grab a stick, take a seat if available, burn one, keep it movin’. I appreciate that Lance is there to sell me a cigar and not just base his level of service on if I bought a drink or not.( I’ve experienced this at the other location. No drinks served at this location.) The only spot in the valley I buy my pipe tobacco from, good selection.
- If Winston Churchill visited Boise you'd find him here! Best cigar shop in the Pacific Northwest.
- I was nearby the shop and decided to stop in at 5:40 p.m. while waiting for a pizza order at a local spot. I was interested in purchasing a tobacco pipe. As I walked in, two other gentlemen also entered and asked to go into the humidor. They were quickly informed that the shop was closing. When asked if the store typically closes early, the person behind the counter replied that they do not—but emphasized that they are a retail store, not a cigar lounge, and that he wanted to be out of there soon. I decided to wait while he assisted another customer, as I had a few questions and was hoping for some guidance in selecting a pipe. While I waited, the clerk began slowly and noticeably counting down the minutes until closing. When it was finally my turn, I explained what I was looking for and asked for suggestions. I was immediately told I’d only get a brief explanation because they were closing in about 10 minutes. When I asked about the differences between a couple of pipes, I was told, “You get what you pay for.” I explained that I wasn’t planning to take up much time—I was just hoping for some suggestions—but it was clear he didn’t want to help. He continued to remind me how much time I had left, even though I had already said I wouldn’t be long. I no longer felt confident in making a purchase, so I decided to leave. I explained why I was leaving—largely due to the lack of service—and at that point, the clerk attempted to backtrack and talk over me. But by then, the experience had already soured. It was obvious he was more concerned with closing early than offering any meaningful customer service. This was, unfortunately, one of the worst experiences I’ve had—I honestly can’t recall the last time I left a business due to poor service. While there aren’t many specialty pipe tobacco shops and options are limited, I’m genuinely not sure it’s worth returning if this is the level of service I can expect. I wanted to share my experience, especially after noticing that I’m not the first person to feel this way, based on your reviews.
- Worst experience ever. The cigars are not kept properly—one I tried to cut literally opened up like a flower. When I mentioned this to the guy behind the counter, his response was, "We don’t make them." Of course, I know they don’t make them, but it’s their responsibility to store them properly! On top of that, the guy was rude and dismissive. Absolutely unacceptable. I won’t be coming back.
